How to Install Your Bot on macOS?

This tutorial explains how to install your .ex4 or .ex5 bot on a macOS system.

1. Download MetaTrader (MT4/MT5) for Mac OS

  1. Download the official MetaTrader version for Mac directly from your broker’s website.
  2. If your broker does not provide a Mac OS version, you can download MetaTrader (MT4/MT5) from another broker’s website and simply log in with your own broker account.
  3. If neither of the previous options works on your Mac, you can download MetaTrader directly from the official MetaTrader 5 website. Simply choose the macOS version and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

2. Install MT4 or MT5 on your Mac system

3. That’s it! Your installation is now complete

 

4. Open the installed file located on your Mac launchpad

After installing the software, open your Launchpad and click the MetaTrader icon to launch the platform.

 

5. Login to your broker account

After opening MetaTrader, go to File > Open an Account to log in to your broker account using the credentials provided by your broker when you created it.

6. Search for your broker’s server

In the credentials provided by your broker, you’ll find the server name, enter the name in the search box, select the correct option from the results, and then proceed to the next step.
